Now Noreen and I have agreed on a challenge...to show some of the positives about the most miserable (that's what I think anyway) month of the year. HELP!
So, trying to do the glass half full thing, I've been looking what's still soldiering on in the garden...and there's so much really. The strawberry tree (Arbutus unedo) has come into its own. It's a strange evergreen shrub that has bright strawberry-like fruits at the same time as the pink flowers (though I can't see any fruits left now - it has fruited in other years). Aren't these strange flowers something to enjoy?

This is a shrub I have never come across, how unusual, leaves like a bay tree and flowers like lily of the valley, how nice to have something so different in your garden.

There are still lots of things to enjoy in the garden; your strawberry tree is a fine example of that.
