Some ox-eye daisies in a meadow rich with clover, lady's smock, vetch and many other wild plants. Isn't nature amazing? Brian tells me that this photo is especially for Kathyann and the girls - hope they like it.

One of the small pleasures in life is walking through an unimproved hay meadow. They are such a hive of insect activity, as well as being so lovely to look at. Thanks for reminding me!

A summer meadow full of wildflowers is one of life's great delights, I love oxe-eye daisies but it's the mayflowers that take me back to my childhood. I never see them in the quantities that we had then ie the late 1940s/early 1950s.
The lemon strawberry dessert in the earlier post sounds delicious, must try that. -
