I spent last weekend near Hay-on-Wye. For me it is difficult to imagine much better...all those bookshops! Hay-on-Wye is a small quaint town with nearly 40 bookshops - selling a huge range of books - many secondhand at affordable prices. It is also surrounded by lovely peaceful countryside - oh, and it has a couple of excellent coffee places - and no, I am not being paid by the Hay-on-Wye tourist board!

Hi Sandra,
It is wonderful - on the borders between England (Herefordshire) and Wales. Hay-on-Wye is actually just over the Welsh border, I think-
